How to Publish Your First Post on QuirkKit

By quirkkitapp · 2026-10-07

This guide is for anyone who has a piece of writing ready and has never posted on QuirkKit before. Follow it and you end up with one thing: a live page with your post on it. That's the whole goal here.

If you came looking for how much a post pays, the short answer as of 7 October 2026 is nothing yet. Ads aren't live on QuirkKit, so there are no creator payouts. What Is Live on QuirkKit Right Now, and What Is Not (/blog/what-is-live-on-quirkkit) covers that in full. The rest of this page is about publishing.

Step 1: Sign in

Go to QuirkKit and sign in with Google, GitHub or X. There's no separate account form and no fee. Signing up, writing and publishing all cost nothing.

You don't need a portfolio, a following or a website of your own. If you can write a clear page, you have what you need.

Step 2: Write a title and your text

A QuirkKit post is two things: a title and your text. There are no formatting tricks to learn and no word-count minimum.

Essays, guides, stories and tips all work. A few ways to pick your first one:

- Something you've explained to a friend more than once.
- A short guide to a tool, recipe, game or habit you know well.
- A story or opinion piece you'd be happy to have your name on.

Keep it to one idea. A first post that does one thing well is easier to finish and easier to read.

Step 3: Clean up the draft with the free tools

QuirkKit has nine free writing tools at quirkkit.com/tools. Four are useful before you hit publish:

- Grammar Check finds grammar and clarity issues and suggests fixes. You can start with no sign-up, and it's capped at 10 checks per day, so paste your whole draft rather than one paragraph at a time.
- Word Counter shows words, characters, sentences and reading time. Nothing you paste is uploaded.
- Blog Title Generator gives you five title ideas from a short description of your post. Your first runs need no sign-up.
- AI Text Detector gives a likelihood estimate with a reason. It's an estimate, not proof, so treat it as a second opinion and not a verdict.

If you write in Word, Word to HTML converts a pasted or uploaded .docx into clean HTML in your browser. And if your post has images, Image Beautifier compresses and resizes them in your browser too.

You don't have to use any of these. They're there so your first post goes out in better shape.

Step 4: Publish and wait for review

When you publish, your post doesn't go public straight away. A QuirkKit admin reviews every post before it goes live, which keeps the site free of spam. You get a notification when it's approved.

QuirkKit doesn't state a review time, so we won't guess one here. Publish, then check back for the notification.

Step 5: What a live post gives you

Once it's approved, your post has its own page on QuirkKit, and that page is one search engines can find. You can share the link anywhere.

That's what "live" means today: a public page with your writing on it. It doesn't mean a set number of readers, a search ranking or a payment.

A quick word on money

Two separate things exist on the money side, and only one of them works today.

Creator rewards are planned to come from ad revenue. Ads aren't live, so there's no reward pool to pay from and nothing to claim. The status post linked at the top explains what happens when that changes.

Reader tips are separate. Add your own wallet address once and every post you publish gets a Tip button. Tips go straight from a reader to your wallet, and QuirkKit takes no cut. Whether anyone tips is up to readers. The tips guide (https://quirkkit.com/earn/accept-tips-as-a-writer) has the setup steps.

If your post isn't approved

Wait for the notification first. Then look at what you can see: is the post one clear idea, is it readable, is it your own work? Fix what you can and try again.

One firm rule: never pay anyone who offers to "unlock" publishing, speed up review or guarantee approval. Publishing on QuirkKit is free. And never share a seed phrase or private key with anyone. No legitimate payer ever needs it.

Start with one post

Pick one piece you'd still want online even if it never earned a cent, give it a title, run it through the grammar check, and publish it.
